We the undersigned support the mission and position statement of Operation Truth 2007. We urge our community to take a position of vocal objection and active protest regarding local and national plans for the ‘commemoration’ of 200 years since the alleged abolition of the ‘slave trade’. We add our names as a symbol of solidarity with our coalitions of Afrikan Brothers and Sisters in Bristol, the UK and world wide.
This petition will be treated in the strictest confidence. No details will be passed on to third parties, except when names (not email addresses)are submitted to the government. This petition will be sent to the UK government every 5000 signatures. It will demonstrate that Afrikan people in the United Kingdom and the diaspora, find Abolition 200 to be an insensitive, insincere propoganda campaign that should not take place in the name of our Ancestors.
